The Center

Laser Eye Associates, a LA LASIK eye surgery facility, is located on the 7th floor of the Cedars-Sinai Mark Goodson Building is one of the premier Eye Laser Centers in the world. We often get asked what makes the Cedars Laser Center different from one located in a private doctors office. The answer is simple: better quality control. Which ensures a better outcome. Our physicians come under tight scrutiny and vigorous quality control measures are put in place before they can operate. Our nurses are exceptionally well trained and have lots of experience with LASIK procedures. Our lasers get checked on daily basis by hospital affiliated PhD's who are expert at calibrating our lasers and we cut plastic between cases to make sure the laser has a high quality ablation profile.

Since we are a premier hospital on the Westside we have the best lasers and equipment available. Since we are a premier hospital on the Westside we have the best lasers and equipment available. Patients have a choice of two lasers the VISX Star S4 with the Customvue wavefront software or the Alcon Ladarvision Laser with a 'star wars' like eye tracker and the Custom Cornea wavefront software. Because we were an investigational site for both lasers we have tremendous experience with their use and we are always the first to get their latest and updated software.

The microkeratomes to make the flap are also the latest and state of the art. Although we have both the Chiron Hansatome Microkeratome and the Moria Barraquer Carriazo keratomes, we have now invested in a new $500,000 laser the Intralase to make bladeless flaps and ensure that you have the safest surgical procedure possible.

By coming to Cedars you are always assure of the best equipment, the highest standards of quality control and excellent nurses and physicians, all of which optimizes your chances for an excellent result.
