Laser Vision Correction (LASIK), Co-Management and Keratoconus Contact Lens Fitting

Patients often hear about the Cornea-Genetic Eye Institutes' Laservision program after being referred by their eye doctors (optometrists or ophthalmologists). Many of the eye doctors affiliated with the Cornea Genetic Eye Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Mark Goodson building have had a long relationship with us. Because of our internationally recognized research programs and have learnt to trust us because of our commitment to high quality care we have afforded all their patients in the past.

These eye doctors have had extensive training in patient selection and postoperative care following laser vision correction. These doctors comanage  the patients follow-up care with Dr. Rabinowitz, the corneal surgeon who performs the  laser procedure. The patient therefore returns to his own eye doctor for post-operative follow up visits while the corneal surgeon makes himself available to the patients at any  time, should there be a serious problem.
